Twitter developer has working on new feature called mention block. This feature allow users to control public mention of their accounts on the platform. all social media platforms allow users to tag and address public account by typing @ followed by unique username the user mention in their it's tweet, post, comment etc.
In 2020 twitter developers has build new feature twitter Circles. this feature use is is it's allow users to limit replies to tweets users they follow or to users mentioned in the tweet. twitter circles that allow users to curate a select list of users that can access certain tweets posted by the users.
Security researcher and reverse engineering expert jane manchun wong tweet and and said social media company working on users to block mention through controls that either block mentions entirely or limit them to pre approved followers, users may also choose to continue allowing all mentions, according to a report. but twitter privacy designer dominic camozzi had reportedly also confirm that the feature to limit mention is being developed by twitter. after this confirmation they can delete their tweet if any reason. we all know about the reason so, nothing new in this.
This feature are include for specific security reason it can control minmissing harassment and bulling buy unknown account and stupid peoples. this feature has impact on digital town square social media platform functions. all social media company has continuously improve their social media app security because in some last year there are so, many case are build by this social media function loop hole also reel or TikTok algorithms. so, finally company has decide they remove or compromise their features. in some case social media can change peoples opinion on politics and it's effect hole elections and it's a a very dangerous for democracy.
twitter also confirm the rollout of a features that allow twitter blue tick in Australia, Canada and new Zealand to edit tweet that have already been publish. the company is also launch this feature in US soon. I think twitter has launch this feature globally because all country need this function in their app.
It's good social media company's has charge their security features and come with solution and also best is they can't remove old features just increase features in their app and it's best for private type peoples and fully social type peoples. main reason is to include this features to take safe post, comments, tweets etc. and it's good thing.
Social media company's have daily build new features in their app and launch new apps daily but in this some case update is very important and twitter has done this. hope all other company's has include this type of features in their apps.
